In Thankfulness For The Wind Beneath Our Wings

Ya Allaah, Ya Wahidul Qahhar

There is no god except Allaah

The All-Mighty, the Forbearing

There is no god except Allaah

Lord of the Mighty Throne

There is no god except Allaah

Lord of the Heavens

Lord of the earth and 

Lord of the Noble Throne

Ya Allaah, Ya Rahman

Thou art sufficient for me

And Thou art the Best Helper

I thank Thee for Blessing me

With a gracious loving being as my mother

A mother who with Thy guidance

Bred nurtured educated twelve siblings

She was our rock in all storms

Our comfort in distress and illness

Our guiding hand unto Thee

She was the wind beneath our wings

That carried us through the skies

Ya Allaah, Ya Raheem

Thy command over life is forever executed

And Thy decree over us is Just

Thy decree is the most Merciful

Thou art the most Compassionate

Thou knoweth her best better than we

O Master of Life and Soul

Verily unto Thee we belong

And unto Thee shall we return

Ya Allaah, Ya Azizul Ghaffar

Thee alone do we worship, Thee alone do we ask for help

Ya Allaah, receive my mother's soul honorably

And take her under Thy protection

Forgive her and save her 

From the trial of the grave and the torment of the fire

Have Mercy upon her, make her grave spacious, and

Grant her entry into Thy Garden

Thou alone art the Forgiver, the Merciful

Ya Allaah, Ya Azizul Hakeem

Blessed be Thy name my Lord

Full of Majesty, Bounty and Honor

To Thee be praise, first and last

Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds

For Thee is the command

And unto Thee shall we return

HasbunAllaah wa ni'mal wakeel

Ni'mal waulaa wa ni'mal naseer.

Walk through this world with me ...

On this eve of another milestone on this journey

Through this hazardous world of the sentenced

I look back and I thank you for what I see

You, loyal, constant always

Walking through this world with me.

From the first day my journey began

You took my hand and never let go

Long tortuous days, unable to move

Still despairing pain filled nights

Never did I have to search for you

You were there, constant always

Never did you allow me to falter

You were there to stop my tears

Never did you allow me to doubt

You were there to fight my fears

Never did you allow me to stray

You were there to guide me

Never did you allow me to give up

You were there to carry me.

You searched high and low, day and night

And found me the weapons to fight

You guided me straight on my mission

To the power of prayer and submission

To the Beneficent Mercy of Allaah Almighty

As I turn in thankfulness to Allaah

For His Gracious multitude of Blessings

I thank my Sublime Lord from the depth of my soul

For Blessing me with you, Victory of Allaah

To walk through this world with me.

Forgive me O Allaah ...

Ya Allaah Ya Rahmaan Ya Raheem

Forgive me O Sovereign of my life

O Sublimely Magnificent Guardian

O Lord of Ennobling Generosity

O Universally Merciful Healer

For my tongue is too inept

My language skills too poor

To ever express in full measure

The overwhelming gratitude overflowing

From my heart my being my very soul

For Your Bountiful Blessings

For Your Endless Beneficence

For Your Sublime Compassion

For Your Benevolent Protection

For Your All-Responsive Healing

For granting me refuge from pain

For shielding me from suffering

For girding me with strength

For infusing my heart with Faith

For delivering me from sickness

O Allaah O Allaah O Allaah

O Pure Beneficence

O Universally Merciful

O Singularly Compassionate

Glory be to You, O Allaah

Ya H'ayyu Ya Qayyoom bi Rah'mathika Astaghees

O You, the Everlasting and All-Sustainer

Persistently do I invoke Your Mercy.

Another Battle Begun In This Ongoing War

Continuous spiritual battle from last December
Victorious and healing by Allaah's Mercy
Supported periodically by toxic legionaries
Engaging in all strength with the traitors
Who meta morphed into an invading army
Running unfettered through out the system
Till beaten by Faith and Prayer to Allaah AlMighty
The last resistors mopped by the Legion

Another battle begun today by the Legion

Against the multiplying invading enemy within

The attacking phalanx of Docetax hammer at enemy lines
Followed by steady ranks of the red Doxorub
Through the breach stab the mighty Cyclofos
Together combined beat the enemy in the blood
From the flank attack the hardy Zolendron
Laying siege to the enemy in their bony hideouts
Starving the resisting troops of all supplies

The sixth and last of such battles, Insha Allaah
To proceed to the next dimension in this long war
Victory assured by faith and supplication to Allaah AlMighty

يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّوْمُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيْث

In my daughter's footsteps

How strange is life as I undertake the journey
That my baby daughter travelled yesterday
Stricken thrice, rising again with Allaah's Mercy
Here she stands by my side tall and pretty
By Allaah's Grace, not just a survivor
But a mighty conqueror.

How strange is life as I live her journey
Experience now what she could not explain then
Understand now what I could only see then
Here she stands holding firm my hand
Just as I did hers as she lay as I do now
Hope eternal, Allaah's Blessing.

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِِ

For several years, people have been telling me I should start my own blog. I considered it sometimes, but felt that there really was no point in blogging on every subjects of interest; after all who would be interested in my opinion? I am still of the same view, but am finally taking the plunge because it will help to organize my thoughts and hopefully help revive writing skills lost after my academic career. 

A final purpose is also to represent myself and my views. Why? Primarily because the more vocal segment of our current Maldivian society has a habit of misrepresenting and destroying people's good name and reputation, one of many such victims being myself. The lies fabricated by this group are blatantly untrue, and yet gain currency as they are told and retold. The record needs to be set straight, and as this blog progresses, I will attempt to do so.
